The 2015 Great Race & VCRA Race for Autism
On June 21st over 130 Teams driving cars ranging from 43 to 100 years old will be leaving Kirkwood, Missouri on the Great Race for a 9-day, 2,500 mile Time/Speed/Endurance Rally.
This grueling competition will take the "Racers" and their support teams on and near Historic Route 66 through Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and finally ending on June 28th on the Santa Monica Pier.
As a Great Race Tradition, Teams are also competing to raise money for the Vintage Car Rally Association (VCRA) - Fighting Autism One Mile at a Time!
This year's "VCRA Race for Autism" Goal is to raise $66,000 during the Great Race. Funds will subsequently be donated to Autism Programs in Schools and Centers across the United States.
Since 2006 the Vintage Car Rally Association (VCRA) has received over $550,000 in donations. As the VCRA has pledged, ALL proceeds are donated to selected Autism Schools, Educational Programs and Institutions in need from the many requests that we receive annually.
As a Great Race tradition; Racers are invited to support the VCRA's efforts "Fighting Autism One Mile at a Time" by gathering Donations from friends and family in Honor of their Team.
